This is the last patch before v0.5.0, which will be the social update

• Implemented preview mode at thefinsim.com/preview/ to allow new users to try out the sim without signing up
• Disabled gambling
• Companies now disclose ownership at 4.29% or more voting power
• 6 New companies on the FSE and it has been reset
• New schools, career paths, jobs, and other content populated within the career tab + more filtering for those objects
• Fixed the issue that sometimes threw 500 errors when viewing programs at the bottom of the career page
• More UI improvements to the FSE, career, account and home pages

Note: FinSim is still pre-release. Expect ongoing changes, balance tweaks, and new content.

As either the last or second last patch before v0.5.0, this update focuses on improving the FSE mechanics to provide a more realistic stock exchange experience.

• A number of tweaks were made to the settings that calibrate the market makers and institutional investors.
• Implemented logarithmic dampening for market maker rebalancing to prevent exponential price moves, which better aligns with realistic market behavior.
• Improved dev-side tools for monitoring and diagnosing price anomalies in the FSE.
• A process to flush and reseed historical price data for the FSE which will be used just before v1.0.0 releases to refresh the market under finalized mechanics. It is also being tested with either v0.4.8 or v0.5.0.

There were also a number of fixes to UI features:

• The navbar should now work on all screens and properly display without wrapping or overlap.
• Touch-ups to the home page and tutorial.
• More content seeded (educations and jobs)

These five updates were done quickly with the intention of patching the new-user flow. They were all very small updates. The changes were:

• Improved User stats tracking that will eventually be integrated into the UI to provide users with dashboards and insights.
• The landing page has been revamped to include a summary of the project, screenshots, the new logo, and more
• Overall redo of the new-user flow including a more thorough onboarding process and tutorial.
• Implemented the skeleton of the messaging system and began testing it with the feedback feature on .com/guide/
• Formally rebranded the CVSE to the FSE (FinSim Stock Exchange).
